Graphics Tablet for Painting Pretty Landscapes in Photoshop

Graphics Tablet for Painting Pretty Landscapes in Photoshop

I’ve had a craving to paint the past few days – landscapes in particular. Perhaps it’s my subconscious reaching for a creative outlet. I don’t have artistic cravings too often, so I thought I’d try to feed/nurture it this time.

I ran out to 3C this afternoon and bought a snazzy new graphics tablet for $40 (1290NTD). In case you’re wondering what a graphics tablet is, it’s a little mouse paint shaped thingy with a little pen thingy that allows you to draw (description from the box) into a graphics program on your computer.

After 2 minutes of fairly easy setup and an hour of scribbling like a mad man, here’s the results below. My feelings on this work of art: it doesn’t completely suck. The process is actually quite enjoyable, and I suspect some wine or vodka would improve the results a bit :)
